Head Men’s Golf Coach, U of M
Brad James Small HeadshotBrad James was named the sixth head coach in Minnesota golf history on June 17, 2002. The accomplishments of the Minnesota program during his first season continue to make James one of the hottest, young coaches in the nation. During his rookie season at the helm, Minnesota accomplished what was seen as virtually impossible. He led the Golden Gophers to their first NCAA Championship and to the Big Ten title, Minnesota’s first since 1972.
Gerald McCullagh

Gerald Small HeadshotGerald McCullagh was the head of golf instruction for the past 10 years at the Rush Creek Golf Academy. He is a native of Belfast, Northern Ireland. In 1977, McCullaghs first teaching stop in the U.S was Northland Country Club in Duluth from 1977-80. Prior to joining Rush Creek as Director of Instruction, McCullagh provided instruction and served as a teaching professional at White Bear Yacht Club and Woodhill Country Club. McCullagh, a class A British PGA member, has authored his own golf-training manual and has taught several former and current PGA touring pros such as Minnesota’s own Tim Herron. McCullagh is recognized as one of the United States top-teaching professionals and was named one of Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Instructors.
Dee Forsberg-Voss

Dee Small HeadshotDee Forsberg-Voss is a member of the PGA of America and on the professional staff as a teaching pro at the University of Minnesota Golf Club. A native of Minnesota, Forsberg-Voss graduated from the University of Minnesota after four years as a starter and played in 44 of the team’s 46 tournaments, Her professional golf career included a competitive season in Europe on the Women’s European Golf Tour, as well as three years competing on the Futures Tour. During that time, Dee had five top ten finishes.
Andrew Tank
Men’s Golf Coach, U of M
Andrew Small HeadshotAndrew Tank is in his fifth year as a Golden Gopher men’s golf coach. Tank was a member of the Minnesota golf team from 1997-2002, lettering as a senior last season. Tank graduated last spring from Carlson School of Management with a degree in accounting and finance. He assists Coach James with recruiting and the management of the Golden Gopher Golf booster club, along with tournament organization and other aspects of the golf program. Tank is the head teaching professional at the U of M golf course.
Kristine Wessinger
Women’s Golf Coach, U of M
Kristine Wessinger PhotoOn Dec. 13, 2006, Kris Wessinger had a dream come true and was named the head coach of the Golden Gopher women’s golf program after the resignation of Katie Hanneman. As an assistant for four years under Hanneman, Wessinger was involved in all aspects of the golf program. Wessinger came to the ‘U’ from the University of St. Thomas where she was a three-year all-conference performer for the Tommies and was named UST Player of the Year three times, 1999, 2000, and 2001. Wessinger, a native of Minneapolis, has worked at the Golden Valley Golf and Country Club as a junior golf instructor and graduated from St. Thomas with a bachelor of arts degree in sociology.
Scott Moe
Gustavus Adolphus Head Men’s and Women’s Golf Coach
Scott Small HeadshotA 1995 graduate of Gustavus and an Elk River, Minnesota native, Scott recently completed his seventh year as the head coach of the men’s golf team. Moe has directed the Gusties to three MIAC titles in the past six years. Moe was selected the MIAC Coach of the Year in both 1997 and 1998 and was named the Golf Coaches Association of America’s District Five Coach of the Year in 1996-97, 1997-98 and 1998-99. The Gusties have posted top ten finishes at the NCAA Championships for each of the past six years including an fifth place finish in 2000, 2001, and 2002.
