| How are the campers supervised in the dorms? |
I take this matter very seriously! Camp counselors will be present at all times while campers are in the dorm. Campers are never left unsupervised. Camp rules are not only enforced by all counselors, but also explained in great detail prior to the camp-taking place to all counselors. If any of the camp rules are violated, it will result in automatic dismissal with no refund. |
| What if my son/daughter gets injured at camp? |
Two professional athletic trainers are available at all times. The Brad James Golf Academy is a fully insured business. The University of Minnesota hospital service is very close and always available. Campers must also provide their own medical insurance. The camp staff assumes no responsibility for accidents or illness. |

| What do I do with my free time after golf camp is over for the day? |
Camp will typically finish between 9:00-9:30 pm. After a long day at the golf course, you will want to rest those muscles. For those who have plenty of energy left, there are video games, pool tables, ping-pong tables, and a big screen TV to keep you busy before lights go out at 10:30 pm. |
| What if I need to contact my son/daughter during camp? |
The following numbers will allow you to reach me during the day or one of the camp counselors: Golf Course: 612-627-4002 or 612-627-4340 |
| What forms do I need to bring to registration? |
You must bring the parent release and indemnity agreement form to registration or mail it before camp begins. It must be signed by a doctor and accompanied by a copy of a recent physical (within the 2005 school year). You can view and print the parent release and indemnity agreement form here. |
| How much spending money will my son/daughter need? |
There is a snack bar and vending machines for drinks and smaller snacks available to the campers. I would recommend about $15-$20 for the camp week. |
| How will I know if my application/check has been received? |
You will receive a confirmation via mail or e-mail of received items and confirmation of date, time, and venue. |
| Can we choose our camp roommate while staying in the dorms? |
YES. Please indicate your roommate preference on the application form. Each room has two beds. However, if you have four friends, we can arrange a fourplex. Please let me know this well in advance to allow for booking time. |
| How quickly do the camps fill? |
Camps will typically fill by May 1st. Early registration is strongly encouraged. Please call the camp line at 612-625-0017. |
| How many athletes are in a typical group? |
There are typically 6-10 campers in each group. Each group will have a counselor and an instructor. |
| Are special meal plans available? |
We eat all our meals in the University of Minnesota dining hall, and all meals are all you can eat buffet style. There is something for all interests and eating habits with unlimited portions. |
